The Crockett Times Alamo, Tenn. Thursday, August 28, 1947 Services for Mrs. Ada Ninnie Florence Boyd, who died at her home in Gadsden, Wednesday were held at 2 Friday afternoon at Salem Church with the Rev. Carl Davis officiating. Burial in Salem cemetery with Ronk Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Boyd was 71. She was born in Crockett County and was a member of the Church of Christ. She leaves five children, Mrs. Ora Tatum, Mrs. Ida Lovett, J. D. Boyd, Mrs. Mary Hefley and Miss Minnie Lee Boyd. One half sister, Mrs. Will Gorman and one half brother, Mr. John Tinsley [The obit lists her as Ada Ninnie Florence Boyd, but her name was Ada Minnie Florence Boyd. She was the daughter of John W. Tinsley & Mary J. Hammond, and the wife of Thomas (Tom) Boyd] |
