Funeral services for Hiram Bernard Boals, 70, were at 1:30 p.m. Friday, February 8, in the chapel at Ridgeway Funeral Home in Paris, Tennessee with W. W. Heflin and Mike Tune officiating. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery in Paris with Ridgeway Morticians in charge.

Mr. Boals, a retired Electrolux vacuum cleaner salesman, died Wednesday night of an apparent heart attack.

He was a native of Crockett County, son of the late Robert and Maggie Black Boals. He lived in Jackson for several years but moved to Paris and had made his home there for many years. He was a member of Eastwood Church of Christ.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Oneida Hutcherson Boals of Paris; one daughter, Mrs. Robert M. (Sylvia) Jelks of Jackson; two sons, Jere Wayne Boals of Zionsville, Indiana and Bill Boals of Hickson, Tennessee; three sisters, Mrs. Beulah Palmore of Humboldt, Mrs. Essie Ray and Miss Carrie Boals, both of Memphis; one brother, Marshall Boals of Humboldt; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Three brothers, Ernest Christopher Boals, Robert Shelton Boals and John Garner Boals preceded him in death.
