CARRIE DHU BOALS
Services for Carrie Dhu Boals, 103, will be on Wednesday, November 14, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home with burial in Salem Cemetery in Gadsden. Rev. Perry Boling, Jr. and Rev. Lloyd Kirkland officiating. Miss Boals died on Sunday, November 11, 2001 at the Jackson Oaks. She worked for many years as the librarian for the Veterans Administration in Memphis and was a member of the DAR and also the Altrusia Club. Miss Boals, the daughter of the late Robert and Margaret Elizabeth Black Boals was preceded in death by two sisters, Essie Ray and Beulah Palmore and five brothers, Ernest Boals, Shelton Boals, Garner Boals, Hiram Boals and Marshall Boals. She is survived by six nieces, Martha Williams and Debbie Alexander, both of Humboldt, Sylvia Jelks of Jackson, Linda Lloyd of Bryant, AL, Patt Smith of Collierville, and Bonnie Zimmerman of Clarksville, TN; four nephews, Harris Boals of Hendersonville, Tommy Boals of Smyrna, Jerry Boals of Tullahoma, and Bill Boals of Hixon. Pallbearers to serve will be Harry, Tommy, Jerry and Bill Boals, Allan Patterson, Bobby Jelks, Bobby Alexander and Jim Loyd. Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home was in charge.
