James H. Ballentine Obituary

Ballentine--James H. Ballentine, age 54, died Monday, June 8 1953, at 1081 E. Kurtz Ave. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 12, 1953, from Floral Chapel at Dodds-Dumanois Co. Funeral Home, Rev. John LeVan officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Ballentine will remain at Dodds-Dumanois Co. Funeral Home. Death was caused by tornado. He was born in Crockett County, Tenn. Nove 13, 1898, lived in Flint for the last 24 years coming here from Dyersburg, Tenn., married Carrie Rosamond at Crockett Mills, Tenn., on Dec. 19, 1922. He was employed at Chevrolet Motor Division. Surviving are: Wife, Mrs. Carrie Ballentine; daughter, Mrs. Buford Myers of Flint; granddaughter; stepmother, Mrs. Ellen Ballentine of Crocket Mills, Tenn., sister, Mrs. Bertha Shelton of Dyersburg, Tenn.
