The Crockett Times, Alamo, and/or Crockett County Sentinel, Bells 21 Nov 1974 Funeral services for George Coston (Shine) Ballentine, 72, were held Monday at 11 a.m. at Bells Methodist Church with Rev. Paul Phillips and Rev. Michael Agee officiating. Burial was in Memorial Gardens with Bells Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Ballentine died Saturday at Baptist Hospital in Memphis after a long illness. He was a retired farmer and lived near Bells. he was a member of the Methodist church. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Mary Ballentine; one son, W. E. Ballentine of Humboldt; one daughter, Mrs. Marie Higgins of Memphis; three brothers, Owen Ballentine of Bells, George Ballentine and Johnny Ballentine, both of Friendship; three grandchildren. |
