The Crockett Times, Alamo, and/or Crockett County Sentinel, Bells 12 Dec 1974 Funeral services for Mrs. Dovie Alma Archibald, 75, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Ronk Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dwight Davidson officiating. Burial was in Crockett Mills cemetery. Mrs. Archibald died Friday at St. Joseph's hospital in Memphis. She formerly lived in Crockett Mills, but had been living in Memphis for some time. She was the wife of the late James Henry Archibald, who died in 1968. She leaves four sons, Bryan T. Archibald, Gordon P. Archibald and Polk Carroway, all of Memphis, Henry E. Archibald, Benton, Ark.; one stepson, James D. Archibald of Pomona, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Mae Smith of Jackson; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Alberta Elspon, Leighton; two brothers, Jasper Howell and Hobart Howell, both of Memphis; two sisters, Mrs. Bernice Riddick and Mrs. Juanita O'Guinn, both of Memphis; 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. |
