Presiding Elder W. A. FREEMAN will preach at the school building next Sunday at 7:30 p.m. and will hold quarterly conferences Monday. Dinner on the ground and everybody invited.
Elder PHILLIPS of Maury City will preach at the Christian Church next Sunday at 11 o'clock. Everyone invited.
Lawrence SANDERS has been putting down a concrete walk in front of his residence on North Main Street.

Bryan, 15 year old son of Mr. & Mrs. Robert BEAVER, passed away at their home near Stokes Tuesday after a lingering illness. He was a bright youth and loved and admired by many friends. He was a nephew of G. T. SMITH and Mrs. W. C. JAMES of this place. The remains were interred at Bowen's Chapel Wednesday.
Albert LANIER, old Crockett boy, spent Tuesday in the city.
Robert EUBANKS of Jackson was here last week the guest of John CLARK and enjoyed a few day of bird hunting.
Dr. J. P. SIMS visited near Dyer Saturday.
Paul SIMS of Maury City was here Sunday.
Dr. J. S. DOWNEY has put down a nice concrete walk in front of his property on Church Street.
Henry GARRETT, former citizen of this county, who now resides in Carouthsville, Missouri is here this week buying mules.
W. H. SUDBURY, cashier of Farmer & Merchants Bank, has purchased the C. F. CARATHERS farm near town. Consideration: $6,500.
Tennessee LOVE, the liveryman, has purchased the Anderson buggy house on Depot Street from W. H. SUDBURY and will move it to a lot back of the livery barn and use it for a buggy house. Mr. ANDERSON has moved his stock of buggies to the J. L. STALLINGS house on South Main.
Dr. BUTLER of Bells, an experienced pharmacist has accepted a position with the Quality Drug Co. Dr. HARWOOD will also remain with the firm until the first of the year.
