W. C. STOKES, merchant at Stokes, was in the city yesterday.

Dr. Will THOMPSON of Crockett Mills purchased the Haley Place on College Square and will take possession January 1.

Miss Mattie CRAIG visited relatives in Dyersburg Sunday.

Mrs. J. W. ROGERS returned to her home in Tulsa, Okla. last week after a visit to her sister, Mrs. J. L. STALLINGS.

Medames E. F. BUCKLES and W. W. MAXWELL were Dyersburg visitors yesterday.

J. D. HERRON of McKenzie was the guest of his sister, Mrs. W. F. PARKER, yesterday.

Mr. Tom PRIVETT and Miss Cassie MOORE of Crockett Mills were united in marriage Sunday night at the home of the groom's parents. The ceremony was performed by the groom's father, Esq. Joe PRIVETT. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. W. A. MOORE.

George COPHER was in Memphis last week.

W. E. BOWEN attended the Tri State Fair at Memphis.

Ned YORK is attending the Dyersburg Fair.

Paul SIMS returned to Henry Sunday.

Gean BRASSFIELD, popular merchant of Crockett Mills, was in town Monday.

W. S. SIMMONS transacted business in Memphis last week.

J. L. STALLINGS visited his sons, Church and Sidney, in Arkansas and attended the Memphis last week.

J. H. HILL of Tigrett paid our office a call Monday.

Clyde LEATH of the Crockett Mills vicinity was in town Monday.

Mr. Lonnie PARK paid us a visit Monday.
