Mr. Jap ALLEY and Miss HOPPER, daughter of Will HOPPER of the Bonicord vicinity, were united in marriage Sunday.
Maury City and community received a great shock Saturday afternoon when the news of the rash act of Miss Janie REVELLE went out. Miss REVELLE was the young daughter of Ed REVELLE of near Maury city. She drank carbolic acid Saturday and died in a few hours. No reason was given for the rash act so far as we can learn.
The degree team of the Friendship tent K. O. T. M. went to Chestnut Bluff Tuesday night to put on some degree work for the Bluff Tent. The Friendship Knights wish to thank the Bluff Knights for the royal reception given them. Following are those who went from this place: E. F. BUCHELS, M. E. NOTGRASS, D. S. ENGRAM, Clark PERRY, and W. W. MAXWELL.
Lum GREEN died Saturday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Queen MAYO, near Maury City. Deceased had suffered for the past two years with that dread disease Pellagra. Mr. GREEN possessed many friends over the county who will learn of his death with deep regret. He was a Mason and was buried with Masonic honors in Alamo Cemetery Sunday afternoon.
Dr. John W. FROST was a visitor near Eaton Sunday.
Elder Herbert SUDBURY preached at Warren Schoolhouse Sunday afternoon.

Mr. B. F. SUDBURY is out on his farm this week cutting oats.

Mr. & Mrs. Ira DAVIS of Gadsden passed through here Monday enroute home from Dyersburg.
W. H. BADGETT of Maury city was here Tuesday on business.
The young people entertained at the home of Mrs. M. E. CLARK Tuesday evening and reported a very pleasant time.
D. Wells HARRIS of the Alamo Guide was on our streets yesterday.
Paul SIMS of Henry, Tenn. is here visiting his parents and taking a little vacation. He is manager of the composing room of the Henry Progress.
