Sisters Nancy Sanders Hembree (b. 19 Mar 1895 in Butlers Landing
in Clay County; d. 22 Apr 1984 in Sparta, TN (White Co.) and Fannie
Pearlie Sanders Cunningham (b. 15 Aug. 1902, also at Butlers
Landing). They were daughters of Jonathan William Sanders and Lucy
Woods (see photos below). Nancy married John L. Hembree on 26 Nov.
1916 in White County. Fannie married Leslie Gordon Cunningham on 26
Oct. 1918 in Bedford County.
Lucy Woods Sanders (b. 2 Jun. 1873; d. 2 Jul. 1949 in Shelbyville, TN
in Bedford County).
Jonathan William "Will" Sanders (b. 7 Apr. 1872 in White County; d. 5
Mar. 1942 in Shelbyville in Bedford County). He was the son of
Francis "Frank" M. Sanders and Margaret Jane Hull Sanders.
John L. Hembree (b. 8 Jun. 1895; d. 18 Nov. 1983) and Nancy Sanders
Hembree. John is holding their first-born, Howard Simpson Hembree (b.
9 Mar. 1918). Nancy is holding their second child, son Fred Buis
Hembree (b . 19 Nov. 1919 in Walling, TN; d. 29 Mar. 1986 in Lebanon,
TN).
