The following obituary was in the Nov. 15, 2000 issue of the Jackson County Sentinel. As of this date we are not sure who will be the next Clay County historian.
EDWINA UPTON, 75, of Celina, November 5, 2000. Interments was in the Fritzgerald Cemetery. Born in Celina on March 4, 1925. She was the daughter of Thomas Cecil SMITH and Mary Velma GOODPASTER. Preceded in death by husband, Willie BUTLER UPTON.
