RIDGLEY&#8217;s<\/strong> business house Wednesday morning, happened to a very serious accident. \u00a0He, <strong>J.M. DAWSON<\/strong> and <strong>Mark DAWSON<\/strong> were walking along, joking each other when JONES attempted to kick Mark, but his foot slipped and he fell to the pavement, breaking his left leg just above the ankle. \u00a0He was picked up by friends and carried to Dawson&#8217;s barber shop and a physician called in. \u00a0The limb was dressed and he is doing as well as could be expected. \u00a0He will not be able to be out for several weeks at best.<\/p>\n<p><em>Source: Carroll County Democrat, 12 Feb 1897, pg. 1<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Leg Broken &#8212; While walking up the street in front of E.G.
