{"id":382,"date":"2013-05-29T23:23:46","date_gmt":"2013-05-30T04:23:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/carroll\/?p=382"},"modified":"2023-04-08T00:35:53","modified_gmt":"2023-04-08T05:35:53","slug":"johnson-mollie-d-1897","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/carroll\/johnson-mollie-d-1897\/","title":{"rendered":"JOHNSON, Mollie &#8211; (d. 1897)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Miss Mollie JOHNSON<\/strong>, daughter of <strong>Alexander and Ellen JOHNSON<\/strong>, was born Oct. 14, 1866. \u00a0After a lingering struggle with that dreadful disease, consumption, died at her home two miles south of Huntingdon, March 6, 1897. \u00a0She professes religion in August, 1881, and joined the M.E. Church, South at Mt. Zion and lived a\u00a0consistent\u00a0christian until death. \u00a0She suffered much in her last sickness but did not murmur. \u00a0She bore her afflictions with christian fortitude.<\/p>\n<p>We would say to the bereaved ones, weep not as those who have no hopes. \u00a0We shall see her again, not as we saw her here &#8211; pale and weary, but in the bloom of youth with a crown of glory on her head. \u00a0&#8220;Blessed are the dead who dies in the Lord.&#8221; \u00a0Her remains were buried Sunday evening at the Humble\u00a0graveyard\u00a0 <strong>Bro. I.S.
