Names appear just as they did in the W.P.A. typescript.&nbsp; An individual\u2019s name may appear under more than one spelling. For example, the name Fitzgerald appears as F.Garald, Fitzjerrell, Fgarald.<\/p>\n<p>The transcription provided to Bradley County TNGenWeb is lengthy.&nbsp; We have divided it into smaller sections for each of on-line reading and study.<\/p>\n<p>W.P.A. transcribers placed the minute book\u2019s original page numbers in brackets.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The location of the original minute book is unknown.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>Second Saturday January the 10th 1846 the Church met at Brother Samuel Hunters and after worship Proceded to Business first opened the door for the reseption of Members 2nd took up the case of Brother Martial Medley and send for him to come to the church by Brethren J.P. Hunter and Jos Johnson<\/p>\n<p>Sabbath 11th church met and after Worship proceeded to bysness opened the door for the reception of members non came forward<br \/>\n2nd laid over the case of Brother Medley till our meeting in May<br \/>\n3rd then dismissed in order<\/p>\n<p>first Saturday in May 1846 the church met and after worship proceeded to business<br \/>\n1st Opened a door for the reception of members and recd R. Simpson and Martha E. Simpson by Letter<br \/>\n2nd took up the case of Brot Medley and laid it over till our next meeting and appointed Brethern J. Johnson and C. Rogers to go and invite him to attend our next meeting<br \/>\n3d appoint R. Simpson to write our abstract of faith and D. Priddy to write rules of decorum to govern the church in the transaction of business<br \/>\n4th appointed a sacramental meeting to commence on Friday before the 1st Saturday in Aug<\/p>\n<p>[P-12]<\/p>\n<p>5th then adjourned to Sabbath<br \/>\nR. Simpson [strike through] C. Ck. Protem<\/p>\n<p>Sabbath met pursuant to adjournment and after worship opened a door for the reseption of members and recd John McDowell and his wife by letter then adjourned till 1st Saturday in June<br \/>\nR. Simpson C.C. protem<\/p>\n<p>1st Saturday in June 1846 The Church met and after worship proceeded to business<br \/>\n1st opened the door for the reception of members<br \/>\n2nd took up the case of Brother Medley no information from him it was continued till our meeting in July<br \/>\n3d whereas brother Simpson was appointed to write our abstract of faith in our book the church agrees to deferr it until after our next association<br \/>\n4th Priddy Davis Presented rules of government to the church which were read and the church agrees to be governed by said rules<br \/>\n5th Then adjourned till sabbath<br \/>\nSabbath met pursuant to adjournment and after worship<\/p>\n<p>[P-13]<br \/>\n1st Saturday in July church met and after Worship proceeded to business first opened door of the church second brother James Johnson offered his resignation as church Clerk and it was recd by the Church and apointed Davis Priddy church clerk then took up the reference of last meeting Viz the case of Brother Medley and as ther could be no laws or Scripteral charge he was again restored to fellowship again and then a Journed untill Sabbath Morning 10 Oclock and after worship opened the doors for the reseption of members and Zebolon Gilbreath and his wife &amp; Martha Gilbreath joined by letter and then aJourned untill the first Saturday in August<br \/>\nP. Simpson Moderator for the day 2 then opened the doors for Receiving members and Brother John Tillery and his wife U.E. Tillery joined by letter they apointed Davis Priddy to write a letter for the church and that Brother R. Simpson &amp; Brother John Hunter bare the same to the sociation and in case of failler Brother<\/p>\n<p>[P-14]<br \/>\nJohnson &amp; Brother D. Moon Moder Davis Priddy<\/p>\n<p>Saturday before the first Sabath in April the church met all in peace<\/p>\n<p>Saturday before the first Sabath in May the church met all in peace<\/p>\n<p>Saturday before the first Sabath in June the church met all in peace and on Sabath took sacrament and R. Pruett &amp; E. Pruett Joined by letter<\/p>\n<p>Sabath before the first Saturday in July the church met all in peace<\/p>\n<p>[P-16]<br \/>\nSabath before the first Saturday in August the church met all in peace and Seth Atchly Joined by exper and on Sabath his wife E. Atchly Joined baptism was omitted until the next meeting<\/p>\n<p>Sabath before the first Sabath in September church met all in peace and proceded to business and apointed Brother Samuel Hunter and Brother James Jonson to attend the asociation on sabath attended to baptism<\/p>\n<p>The October meeting was not attended on the account of a meeting neare us<\/p>\n<p>Saturday beforethe first Sabath in November the church met and after worship proceded to business of the church the pastor of the church not present a motion made by Brother S. Hunter that the church choes Brother J. Moon as moderator for the day which motion was seconed and the voice of the church being take the motion maid by brother Hunter was the choice of the church brother Moon took the charge&gt;br&gt; 1st opened the door of the church for the reception of memebrs none came forward<br \/>\n2nd Brother Simpson requested the church to enquire of Brother Wm. Williamson and Brother James Mathews about some reports that was derogtive to his caracter that was bad conduct that he shold have had at a protracted meeting held by Brother Simpson &amp; others<\/p>\n<p>[P-17]<br \/>\nneare Brother Williamsons in September 1847 in Hambleton County the church proceded to make the inquirry and from the information the church could get from these Brothing who attended the meeting all the time withe the exceptons of brother Mathews the first day of the meeting the church say that it is cleare from what we can here from those Brothers that Brother Simpson is cleare of those charges and they are without foundation or good arthhourity that is to say the reports and rumor that apers to be cerculated throug the country so far as bad conduct that he should have had at that meeting that is to say the protracted meeting above spoken of at Brother Williamsons<br \/>\n3rd Brother Samuel Hunter made a motion to the Church whether they wold not take up and consider wher Brother Simpsons gift was proffertable owe\u2019g to his corse carractor or not motion being seconded the voice of the church being taken the motion prevaled<br \/>\n4th Brother Samuel Hunter made a motion that from publik talk and personal knowledg that the church call in Brother Simpson gift or credential wich motion being seconded the voice of the church being taken the church agree to call in his gift believeing it from his corse manners of conduct that it is not profitable at the present<\/p>\n<p>[P-18]<br \/>\n5th Motion made by Brother Simpson the Clerk make out a trancescript from the records of this meeting as signed by the Moderator and Clerk and given to him which motion being seconded the voice of the church being takeing the church say that the Clerk make out a true coppy from the records of this meeting and give it to Brother Simpsons request the above record is not disfellowshipping Brother Simpson but ondley to call in his gift done in church conferance<br \/>\nJames Moon Moderator<br \/>\nDavis Priddy C.
