S., and she was always eager to assist others by doing look-ups in books or mentoring others in their personal quests.&nbsp; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thesylvaherald.com\/obituaries\/article_6f16eec2-3f45-11ed-90ec-5b5584bf0e58.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here<\/a> to view her obituary<\/p>\n<p><strong>Barbara Fagen<\/strong>, former Director of, and Board member for, the History Branch of the Cleveland Public Library, painstakingly indexed thousands of files and pages of materials that are available here.&nbsp; Barbara continues to engage with local history through columns she authors in the Cleveland newspaper.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jean Frazier Freshour<\/strong> devoted decades of her long life to researching and documenting the history of her own and others&#8217; families.&nbsp; She was the consummate sharer.&nbsp; When the World-Wide Web burst onto the scene, Jean got her first computer and engaged with gusto among family and local historians around the globe.&nbsp; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mynattfh.com\/obituaries\/jean-f-freshour\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here<\/a> to view her obituary.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Susan Langheld<\/strong>&nbsp; is a devoted, lifelong historian. She contributed a phenomenal number of will images and other records.&nbsp; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.members.tripod.com\/sassy4824\/TNfamily.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here<\/a> to visit the Web site Susan manages for her research into the Felker, Williams, Pearce, Baker, Smith, and Lawson surnames.&nbsp; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.findagrave.com\/user\/profile\/46910208\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here<\/a> to visit Susan&#8217;s profile at FindaGrave.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jackie McClenahan<\/strong> was memorialized by past Coordinators with the following tribute:&nbsp; &#8220;Her name has been removed from these pages as a Volunteer, but will remain here as a reminder to all of us touched by Jackie&#8217;s help and knowledge, that our search is more than finding our heritage, it is also a celebration of the friends we find on our journey.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>James M. &#8220;Jim&#8221; Strickland, Sr.<\/strong>, was a native of East Ridge in Hamilton County.&nbsp; He was active in historical research and won awards for leadership in the Sons of Confederate Veterans.&nbsp; Jim died in 2014.&nbsp; <a href=\"https:\/\/cdispatch.com\/obituaries\/james-m-jim-strickland-sr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here<\/a> to view his obituary.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Danny Williams<\/strong> contributed several records about Bradley County Civil War history.&nbsp; <a href=\"http:\/\/drw.50webs.com\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here<\/a> to visit his personal Web site.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Among the many individuals who receive our gratitude for contributions, some deserve special mention.
