Tenn. Parents were Issac and Eliza (last name known). She married Howell Monroe Whitley August 18, 1866, she died in Alabama in 1888. The family history has it that the Hicks were Cherokee, but didn&#8217;t register because they did not want to lose their land. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
