On my maternal side I am told that my 3gr. grandmother was Caldonia CARSON, a full-blood Cherokee. There is in the family a very large portrait of her and she appears to be full blood. My grandmother was Ella HENDERSON BALL, of Bradley co., b. 1879, and Caldonia CARSON was her grandmother. It could be possible that being so close to Cherokee co. NC, and considering the time that the portion of Bradley co. could still have been a part of North Carolina. If there is anyone out there that has any knowledge of these family connections I would truly appreciate any info you would be willing to give to me. I have nothing to share or I would generously do so. Just any advice as to how to begin would be helpful; I tried the late 1800s census’, but could find nothing that would connect. Thanks, E.
