It appears they originally may have come from Cherokee County, NC in the 1800s when that County covered Polk Co., parts of Bradley, parts of GA, and other parts of NC. They then moved to eastern Tennessee. My g-grandparents lived in Franklin Co. I bleive but my grandparents always lived in Bradley Co., TN. My grandfather is George Thomas Fisher (still living) b. 20 Aug 1911. He married my grandmother, Rosa Lee (Cloer) Fisher, b. 11 Aug 1911, now deceased. My grandfather’s parents were Leander Milton Fisher b. 10 Jan 1883, who married Lillie Ann (or Lillian) Mashburn, b. 20 Feb 1883. Their children were George Thomas Fisher* (Living), Veta Jane, Ida Mae, Martha Jane, Addie, Carl Otis (11 Nov 1916 – Jul 1997), and Quince Milton (Living). \nMy paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Johnson’s, mother, Elizabeth Catherine Collins, was married 4\/20\/1881 to a George A. Felker who is buried (d. 9\/20\/1894) in Ringgold, Catoosa Cty, GA. They had four or five children: Fannie (Apr 1886, NC), Agusta Catherine (Sept 1889, TN), Lottie S. (Mar. 1891, TN), and Jesse. Before 1899, Elizabeth married James G. Johnson of Apison, James County, and had one daughter, my grandmother. Elizabeth died on 8\/15\/1901, and is buried as “wife of Georgia Felker” in the Old Stone Church Cemetery, in Ringgold. George owned a store now known as the Dr. Blair place in the heart of Apison between late 1880’s and the early 1890’s. Georgia’s parents were Jesse and Eliza Felker. I believe Jesse’s parents may have been Peter (born SC) and Nancy Felker. The enrollment rolls of Centenary College Conservatory, Cleveland, TN listed Fannie, Gussie and Lottie as students of this female academy during the earlier 1900’s. I am looking for the descendants of my grandmother’s half-sisters.

\nEvening Folks, I am trying to get past my brick wall. Jesse Cleveland. I have him in the 1850 census in Franklin County Ill (born in Tenn) but no further back. \nIsiah Woodall came to Bradley Co, Tn. from Pendleton Dist, S.C. with his older brothers and sisters, being John, Joseph, David, Elizabeth, Averilla….their Father was John Woodall, the only son according to a Will of Joseph Woodall, Pendleton Dist , SC 1812. John Woodall the father, and wife “Mary” Cherokee is all that’s known of her. The Woodall Bros. John and Joseph were on the first tax lists of Bradley Co, Tn. in 1836. John, Joseph and David all died unmarried. Isiah Woodall Marriage Sarah Bigham , known children number 14-19 depending on census.
