I have a Josias GAMBLE in Brooke Co., VA (WVA) in the 1820 census (gone in 1830). 1810 census Josiah GAMBEL, Brooke Co., VA (over 45-so born before 1765). 1787 Tax Lists Josiah and Moses GAMBLE in Washington Co, VA. Is this the same Josias GAMBLE who s ttled in Little River, Blount County, TN? I had a Prudence GAMBLE, born 1791, married 1808 in Brooke Co., VA to Lewis SANDERS, moved to Tuscarawas Co., OH 1824 and to Martin Co., IN in 1850's where she died in 1877, probably the daughter of Josiah GAMBLE.

Is there anyone that has Blount CO will bks that can tell me the date a will was filed?
Last wk a woman obtained a copy of the will of Jacob THOMAS at the Blount CO Lib in Maryville. The will was dated 15 Feb 1804 and she thinks it was on pgs 260 & 261 of Blount Co Wills and Deeds. She did not tell me when it was filed for probate so I cannot tell when this Jacob Thomas died. I will be very grateful for anyone that can give me the probate date.
Is there anyone that has a copy of The THOMAS Family History by Faye Thomas Davis? There is a copy in the Blount CO library in Maryville. I would like to know where it was published in 1996.
Jacob THOMAS made a will in BLount CO TN dated 15 February 1804 in which he named his wife, Margaret, sons George, Henry, JACOB, John, and Adam and a dght Margaret Numan/Niman.
Jacob NIEMAN/NEUMAN is said to have died in Maryville, Blount CO TN in 1801 and that he was a Rev War vet. If you have any data on the ones I have named in this query please contact me.
