Looking for the parents of Patsy (Martha) CARROLL that md Abednego BIDDY on Dec 14, 1820 in Blount co TN. There are several other CARROLL marriages in Blount co Tn about the same time frame. Their names are William, Elijah, Arminta, & Susan apparently possible siblings of my Patsy. Abednego and Patsy (CARROLL) BIDDY moved to AL had 3 children and by 1826 are part of Stephen F. Austin Original 300 settlers of TX. Settling in Washington, Lavacca, Goliad, DeWitt counties in TX. Any information about th eir parents would be appreciated. I wonder if they are related to the LOVE, CARRELL, & ALEXANDER families of York co SC???

I am reseaching my TIPTON roots in Tennessee. I have just located the 1870 Census record for Blount county and was really surprised to find my great-great grandfather, Benjamin TIPTON and his wife Sarah E.(nee DICKSON), my great-great grandmother. They were born in Tennessee. They, however, eventually moved to Knox county. Benjamin was born in December of 1832 and Sarah was born about 1850. I was told that Sarah was part Cherokee. I am anxious to find that out. My great grandmother was Lula C. TIPTON . She was born on March 24, 1893 in Knoxville, TN. She was their youngest child. Sarah, her mother,died between 1894 and 1900. Benjamin was still alive in 1920. I do not know when he died. I have very little information on the TIPTON'S and I have none o f the DICKSON'S. Magdalene GAMBLE (1746-bef 1806) had brothers Josias and Moses Gamble who settled on Little River, Blount County TN. They were full cousins to the Mitchell family. I think there were family there in 1930s. Does anyone know more? Antecedants? I am trying t o connect them to Gamble in Chester Co. PA or Augusta Co. VA, Iredell Co. NC and/or PRESBYTERIANS. Magdalene and her husband Alexander BRECKENRIDGE died in Bourbon Co. KY.

The children of John George SNIDERr moved to Blount & Monroe Counties around 1800. His descendants are coming back in 1999 for the second SNIDER Heritage Reunion. I am looking for any and all descendants to share family history information. The SNIDER family intermarried with the SLOAN and NEAL families quite a bit, so I am also looking for these lines as well. The first SNIDER Heritage Reunion was held in June, 1997 with 140 cousins coming to Carter County, MO from 20 states. We expect to have 250-3 00 cousins together when we meet in either Blount or Monroe County in 1999. Any help in contacting family members would be greatly appreciated.

They bought moved on to Polk and Greene Co. MO. ca, 1840. According to the 1850 U.S. Census of Polk Co. Mo. Leroy was b. 1779/80 S.C. Reese was also on the 18 50 U.S. Census Polk Co. Mo.
