Any info on Marth Yarbrough and Ben(Benjamin) Hedges. Martha was born in 1854 in Tennessee. They are my ggrandparents. They owned a grocery store at Crockett Gully's. Is there any history on Crockett Gully's, located north of Natchez Trace Park. near Mount Comfort Baptist and south of Pleasant Hill Baptist church. It made be located on the edge of, or in Carroll county. At one time my ggrandfather Henry Franklin Abbott owned the Gris Mill. Someone must have pictures or information of this place. It began when they crossed the Tennesse river at Sugar Tree, about 15 miles from the river and in the white sand on the east bank of the Maple Creek. A blacksmith, and sawmill. My ggrandparents were "Susie" Susan Elizabeth Allen Hedges, daughter of James Allen & Amanda Jane Bracken. GgrandmaMartha Yarbrough Hedges ran the grocery after ggrandpa Ben(Benjamin) Hedges died. She may have rented out a spare room. Any corrections or info would be greatly appreciated. I have a lot more info if all of this is correct. Other family members are living in and near there between 1800-1920's or longer: Sally Bell Barnes Smothers, Martin Luther Smothers & family, Brackins, Abbotts, Norwoods, Allens, Thomas Jackson Kee, Auvenshine(Auvenshine), Amy Sykes, Susan Arnold, Elizabeth Clevenger, Clarks, Hicks, and more.

I am attempting to locate information on my grandfather and grandmother who came from somewhere in Tennessee. They had three children, James Levoid, Alta, and Clarence. The children were born between 1900 and 1910. Sometime between 1910 and 1920 they moved to Indiana, and then possibly moved back to Tennessee, but the children were adopted out in Indiana. Would appreciate any information that you could come up with.
