Seeking parents of Anna Bennett, born about 1828 in Tennessee. She married James Pruett on 9 Feb 1857 in Benton Co, TN. 1860 TN Carroll Co census states that her parents were from Indiana. She and James were the parents of Elizabeth (b 1858 in TN), Josephine Rebecca (b 1859 in TN), Nettie (born 1861 in TN), Vianda (b 1863 in AR), Sarah (b 1864 in MO), Lilla (b 1865 in AR), Sylvia (b 1869 in AR), Robert (b 1871 in AR) and Olla (b 1874 in AR). The family later moved to Benton Co, Arkansas around 1862/3.

Henry William Davis Jr., thought to be buried in an unmarked grave in Ramble Creek Cemetery. His children were William, James, Munroe, Thompson, and Marion. I am seeking information about his children, especially William who I believe was my great grandfather. If so, his middle name was Henry. My great grandfather, William Henry Davis, is to have been buried in an unmarked grave in Russell Cemetery in Henry County. He married Mary Emily Guerin in 1869, he died circa 1869. I have the information on his children, grandchildren, etc.

Looking for any information on Horace Hardie Mathis that was married to Mary Hill. They had one son. Horace died prior to child birth of son Hardie Edward Mathis. Ed was born in 1938. He went on to author many mystery books, i.e. "From a High Place", "Dark Streaks and Empty Places", etc. Ed dided in 1988. He told me he lots of his family was from Big Sandy Tennessee. Said his Grandmother was full blooded Chorokee Indian and he met her when he was young. Ed is my wifes dad and grandfather to my kids. Looking for any inforamation that you can help me with. Thanks.

The following names are listed on a Deed as Heirs to Nancy FOLKS, of Stewart County, Tennessee. They gave my gg grandmother 4 tracts of land in Stewart County. I am trying to solve the mystery why they gave the land to her? Names listed on the Deed are: D. F. CHEATHAM, J. J. CHEATHAM, S. S. ODUM, MCDANIEL, MARY E. STOCKDALE, W. R. STOCKDALE, and WILLIAM ODUM, all from Benton County I believe. Nancy FOLKS, died in 1848. I find the following marriages Benton County, Tennessee 1851-1900; CHEATHAM, D. F. to MARY ANN STOCKDALE, Feb. 21, 1856; WILLIAM ODOM to SALLY YOUNG Oct 16, 1862; J. J. CHEATHAM to MARY BREWER Nov. 6, 1862; MARY E. MCDANIEL to W. R. STOCKDALE Aug 2, 1863. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
