I am looking for information about a Nathan Williams, father to Allen W Williams (my ancestor). I found a Nathan and an Allen W in the 1850 Benton County Census, but the children's names for Allen W do not completely match the names I have. If anyone has any more information about this line, I would appreciate hearing from them.

I am searching for the parents of Joseph Alsup born abt 1802 in TN. The 1840 census index led me to Benton county, where there was a Joseph, Eliza, Hugh, and James, all on page 9. I wonder if this could be the Joseph I seek. My friend's ancestor, Joseph Alsup, moved to Pontotoc, MS, with his wife, Elizabeth and children; Franklin C. born abt 1823, Charles C. born 1830, Elizabeth born 1832, Darthula born abt 1836, and Josephine born abt 1842.

I am looking for any information on the ancestors of Catherine Spars Rushing, Born about 1832 and died December 18,1906. She was married to Ellis Taylor Presson who died at Andersonville Prison during the Civil War. Also, I am also looking for the burial place of Ellis Taylor Presson. My grandmother seems to think he is buried in a national cemetery in near Benton County but we have not had any luck finding his marker.

I am looking for any information on Dr Adam Miller HAWLEY who lived and practiced in Benton County from 1881 onward. He married first to a Nannie W Melton of Henry Co Tn, the had one daughter named Lula C. He would later marry a Elizabeth McGill, children unknown. I would like to make contact with any descendant. I descend from Adam Hawley's uncle, Henry H Hawley. Any assistance greatly appreciated.

These names of ancestors appear in Benton County but as (Sara). The couple I am searching for were in Texas by 1870 (Franklin County) with Tennessee listed as birthplaces. The Federal Census of 1860 shows a James and a Sara in District 6 on the same page (333). My ultimate goal of course is to find their parents names and if they were married in that county.

I am hoping to connect with fellow Hollomon descendants. Benton Co. has a Hollomon on the 1840 census index. 1836 Benton Co. Land & Poll tax lists Edmund Hollomon in the 7th Dist. Benton Co. Marriages has Susan Holloman marr. Henry Banus in 1850. My Hollomon line resided in Meigs/Rhea Counties of TN by 1830. Don't know where they came from. Hoping to find siblings. Thanks
