I am a descendant of William PAFFORD, bro. of John PAFFORD who were among the first settlers to Benton County. Would like to know if anyone has found the true ancestor to William & John. My PAFFORD line is from William who married Mourning MELTON, they had Henry PAFFORD who married Sarah REDDICK, dau. of Kenneth & Rebecca BREWER REDDICK. Henry & Sarah had Henry Chandler PAFFORD who married Kisiah DAVIDSON, dau. of Joseph & Mary Ann PARKER DAVIDSON. Henry & Sarah had Orville Joseph PAFFORD, my grandfather. I have been told that Joseph's father, Abraham, was the son of a Joseph DAVIDSON of Dickson County and not the son of another Abraham, the Revolutionary Soldier of Benton County. If anyone has further proof on any of this or would like to share information, please contact me through my e-mail address or through my web page at: www.geocities.com/Heartland/Estates/5690.

I am searching for any information on a William Alfred LYNN, born Aug. 6, 1888 in (probably Perry Co., TN) and died January 2, 1974 in Camden, TN. He married Buelah Addean Mann on Aug. 21, 1923 in Huntingdon, TN. They had two children: (1) Beulah Marie LYNN (2) Altie Lois LYNN (my grandmother). I am trying to find out who his father was. He is listed on the 1910 Benton Co., TN census with a George M. FULLER (I would like to get some information on FULLER too). I was wondering if there were any articles in the newpapers about him, deeds, or anything on him. Thank you.

Trying to determine where my greatgrandfather came from. My family came from Crittenden County, KY and goes as far back as my great-grandfather William. The problem with William is he left TN or AL after a fight that ended in the other's death. He was born in 1858. There are many others that are in the same boat I am. We can't even prove we're related until this gets resolved. Any thing you have is better than I have now. Thanks!
