To: Nora Harbor From: Arthur Benjamin White Date: 18 February 1908, postmarked Holladay, Tennessee Hello Miss Nora, how are you? OK I guess. I will write you a post card which I guess will surprise you to hear from a Tennessee boy, but I hope not. While we both are strangers to each other and I wouldn’t of known you. But Mr. Clarence just told me and I thought I would write you a card to see if you cared anything of a Tennessee boy. I will close, hoping to hear from you soon. Bye. Explanatory Note: Arthur Benjamin White went back to Holladay, Tennessee to attend the Normal School in Benton County, Tennessee. A Normal School was a college for teachers. After he completed this, he came back to Sulphur Springs, Texas where he was a teacher at Sunny Slope School and eventually married Nora in 1910.
