Allen C. Presson Transfer to Stephen Holowell

I ALLEN C. PRESSON have this day Bargained and Sold and do hereby transfer and convey to STEPHEN HOLOWELL and his heirs forever for the consideration of forty six Dollars to me paid a certain tract or parcel of Land in Benton County Tennessee in Range 64 Section 1 Containing by Estimation Ninety two acres Be the Same More or less and Bounded as follows: Beginning at a Small Red Oak with Red and Post Oak pointers the North West corner of and Entry of 194 acres in the Name of FRANCIS BAKER and Runs North 184 poles to a Stake with Hickory and poplar ptr then East 80 poles to a Spanish oak the N.W. corner of and Entry of 200 acres in the name of CHARLES G. HAYNES then South 184 poles to a Stake with Hickory and poplar pointers the South west corner of Said 200 acres and then West 80 poles to the Beginning to have and to hold to the Said STEPHEN HOLOWELL his heirs and assigns forever I covenant with the Said HOLLOWELL that I am lawfully Sceized of Said land have a good Right to convey it and that the Same is unincumbered I do further Bind my self my heirs and Representatives to warrant and forever defend the title to the Said land and every part there of to the said STEPHEN HOLOWELL his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of all persons whatever this the 24th day of November 1866. PRESSON Clerk of Said County Court with whom I am Personally acquainted and who acknowledges the due Execution of the within deed for the purposes therein contained given under my hand at office the 24th day of November 1866. Holowell, Reddin Sr. Transfer to Holowell, Reddin Jr.

I REDDIN HOLOWELL SR. have this day Bargained and Sold unto REDDIN HOLLOWELL JR. a tract of land lying in Benton County Tenn in Civil District No. 2 on the waters of Birdsong Creek Bounded as follows to wit Beginning on a Beech and Maple Pointer Runs South 36 degrees East 12 poles to a Maple & Beech pointer Standing on the Bank of little Simpson Creek thence 15 degrees East of North 17 poles down the meanders of said creek to a Stake 2 Beech pointers thence 30 degrees West of North 4 poles to a Large Sassafrass thence 39 degrees East of North 24 poles to a Stake Poplar & Sowerwood Pointer thence 33 degrees West of North 8 poles to a Red oak & Red oak pointer thence South 148 poles to a Stake Spanish Post & Red oak pointer thence East 100 poles to a Stake Post and a Hickory pointer thence East 38 degrees North 83 poles to the Beginning containing By Estimation 190 acres Be the same more or less for the consideration of four hundred Dollars to me in hand paid there of is hereby fully acknowledged and do By these presents covenant with the Sad REDDIN HOLOWELL JR that I am lawfully Sceized of Said Land have a Right to convey the Land and the Same is unincumbered and do By these presence Bind my self my heirs and Representatives to warrant and forever defend the title of said land and Every part thereof to the Said REDDIN HOLLOWELL JR his heirs and assigns forever against the Lawful claims of all persons whatever given under my hand and Seal this the 9th day of May A.D. 1866. Stephen Hollowell Transfer to George Hollowell

I STEPHEN HOLLOWELL have this day Bargained and Sold and do hereby transfer and convey to GEORGE HOLLOWELL and his heirs forever for and in consideration of Fourteen Hundred Dollars to me paid a tract of ___(land?) in the State of Tennessee Benton County District No. 2 containing By Estimation 160 3/4 acres Be the Same More or less and Bounded as follows Beginning at a Stake Beech and Hickory pointers the South Est corner of a 333 acres Entry in the name of JOHN WOMBLE then North 104 poles to a Stake & Sweet Gum Maple & Ironwood pointers then West 86 to a Stake Red Oak and three Maple pointers then North 24 poles to a Black gum Black and Red oak pointers then West 10 degrees North 144 poles to a Stake Black gum and Red Oak pointer the S.W. corner of J. RUST then West 39 to a Stake Red Oak and Chestnut pointers then South 44 poles to a Elm 2 poplar and 4 White Oak pointers East 30 degrees South 140 poles to a Stake Elm poplar and Black gum pointers then South 7 degrees East 80 poles to a Stake on the Bank of Simpson Creek Beech & Dogwood ptrs then North 46 degrees East 24 poles with the Meanders of Said creek then East 26 degrees North 42 poles Then North 26 degrees East 11 poles then East 58 poles to the Beginning. To have and to hold the Same to the said GEORGE HOLLOWELL and his heirs and assigns for ever I do covenant the said HOLLOWELL that I am lawfully Seized of Said Land having good Right to convey it and that the Same is unincumbered I do further covenant & Bind my self my heirs & Representatives to Warrant and forever defend the title to the said GEORGE HOLLOWELL & his heirs and assigns against the lawfull claims of all persons Whatsoever this the 8th of December 1865. PRESSON Clerk of Said County Court, WESLEY KING and BENGIMAN MOORE the two subscribing Witnesses tot he Within Deed and proved the due Execution of the Same Before me given under my hand at office the 1st of January 1866. 1848, 31 October: "Land Grant to K H Caplinger et al: 116 1/2 Acres: Scale 100 poles per inch: State of Tennessee) Benton County) By virtue of Entry No 402 founded on an act of the General Assembly passed Nov 2nd day 1847 I have surveyed for John N Jackson James Houston K H Capalinger Micajah Manord one hundred and sixteen and one half acres of land in said county in Range 8 and Section 8 Beginning on the North East corner of Entry No in the name of John E Wynn at a stake hickory whiteoak and redoak pointer Running North 87 poles to a hickory with two blackoak pointers thence East 72 poles to a red oak and white oak pointers thence South 20 poles to a hickory with two redoak pointers thence East 185 poles to a whiteoak and hickory pointers thence South 67 poles to a stake with redoak and hickory pointers then west 257 poles to the beginning this October the 31st 1848. J E Totty & Wife Deed to Elizabeth Capligner

=========== "1874, 21 February: J E Totty & Wife Deed to Elizabeth Capligner: I J E Totty have this day bargained and Sold unto Elizabeth Capligner for the consideration of Ninety five dollars due by note this day Executed to me by Elizabeth Capligner and R K George and J B Caplinger witness to said note due the 25th day of December 1874 and dated this 21st day of February 1874 and retaining a lien on the land until Said note of ninety five dollars is paid on certain tract or parcel of land containing by estimation Eighty six acres be the same more or less in Civil District No 5 County of Benton and State of Tennessee and bounded as follows Viz: Beginning at a three pronged White oak on the south boundry line of Lany Paffords land and runs East 86 poles to a Spanish Oak with 2 Red oak pointers thence South 160 poles to a post Oak with post Oak pointers Thence West 86 poles to a Stake with hickory and black Oak pointers thence South 160 poles to the Beginning to have and to hold the Same to the Said Elizabeth Capligner her heirs and assigns forever I do Covenant with the said Elizabeth Capligner That I am lawfully Seized of said land and have a good right to convey it and That the same is unencumbered and will warrant and forever defend the title of said land to the said Elizabeth Capligner against the lawful claims of all persons what ever in testimony Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal This Feb 21st 1874. State of Tennessee ) Registers office February the 21st 1874 at 3 Oclock P.M. then was the foregoing deed and Benton County ) clerks certificate duly Registered in my office in Book I on Page 710 and 11 and noted in notebook No 2 Page 82.
