At her home a few miles east of Bell Buckle, Mrs Joe Gibson, 83 died after a short illness. Burial took place at the family burial grounds. The following children survive: Oscar Gibson of Toledo; Andy Gibson of Shelbyville; Leland Gibson of Manchester; Joe Estell, and Dee Gibson of Beech Grove and John Gibson of Rowesville.
The funeral of Miss Hattie Belle Moseley, well known educator of Dallas, Texas, was held at the home of her sister, Mrs Sallie Smalling in Bell Buckle Saturday. Her death was a shock to her relatives and friends there, since she had been in apparently normal health. Mrs Annie Couch, her sister with whom she lived, went into her room and found Miss Moseley unconscious. The physicians pronounced death due to cerebral hemorrhage.
She was the daughter of Col and Mrs Tom G. Moseley and was reared in Bell Buckle. She was an aunt of Misses Carrie and Louise Moseley, connected with Ward-Belmont. Her brother, Ed Moseley, promient financier and ranchman, died in Texas a month ago.
Miss Moseley had been prominent in club and church work in Texas.
The following sisters survive her; Mrs Bettie Snow, wife of a well known Tennessee Baptist minister. Mrs Sallie Smalling of Bell Buckle. Mrs Tommie Muxen of Chattanooga, Mrs Annie Couch of Dallas and Mrs Minnie Fine of San Antonio, Miss Sadie Frizzell, Secretary of Webb School is a niece.
Mr. W.W. Williams, a well known and highly respected farmer, died at his home near Bell Buckle last Tuesday. He had been in Poor health for some time and was carried to Vanderbilt hospital, where he remained for a while. Mr. Williams was 51 years of age, and a man of sterling principles. He was a devoted member of the Christian church. Funeral services were
conducted by Rev Clyde Gleaves last Thursday. Interment was in the Bell Buckle cemetery.
He is survived by his wife and the following children: Mrs. Reed Rucker of Nashville' Mrs. Curtis Cook of Nashville; Mrs. William Thurston of Murfreesboro; Alfred Anderson, Mable, Ruth, and Virginia Williams.
