The parents of these boys were: Burrell Ward Jr. and Lavonia Catherine Cooper. Burrell Jr. was the Sheriff of Coffee County during the Civil War. The Cemetery is now located on the farm of Roy Sims and Mr. Sims told me last year that this land had been in his family for as long as he could remember. Burrell Sr. and Naomy were born in 1776 in NC and moved to the Rover Area around 1800. Could the site of this Cemetery have been on the property of Burrell Ward?
