Will of Wynn Bearden

I, Wynn Bearden of the county of Bedford, State of Tennessee, and by occupation a farmer make this my last will. I give, devise, and bequeath my estate and property real and personal as follows: that is to say: That out of my personal estate, all my just debts and my burial expenses shall be paid. The residue of my personal estate after the payment of my said just debts and my burial expenses give and bequeath to my wife Elizabeth Jane Bearden. I give and devise all the real estate which I may, die, seized, and possessed to my wife the said Elizabeth Jane Bearden during her natural life for her sale and separate use. After the death of my wife the said Elizabeth Jane Bearden, I will that all the real estate aforesaid shall be sold on such terms and in such manner as may be determined by my executor and the proceeds after all expenses have been paid to be distributed as follows: to Malissa E. Bearden my daughter four hundred $400.00. The residue of said proceeds to be distributed equally among my children or their heirs as follows: to the heirs of my son the late John O. Bearden, a one ninth part, to my son H.M. Bearden and his heirs, a one ninth part, to my son Oscar E. Bearden and his heirs, a one ninth part, to my son W.N. Bearden and his heirs, a one ninth part, to my son Eddie B. Bearden and his heirs, a one ninth part, to my son Mack Bearden and his heirs, a one ninth part, to my daughter Arnetta Finney and her heirs, a one ninth part, to my daughter Josie Bearden and her heirs, a one ninth part, to my daughter Malissa E. Bearden and her heirs, a one ninth part.

I appoint H.M. Bearden and W.N. Bearden of the county of Bedford state of Tennessee my executors of this will. In witness where of I have signed and published and declared this instrument as my last will at Flat Creek Tenn. on the 24th day of Sept. 1898 Wynn Bearden The said Wynn Bearden at Flat Creek Tenn. on the 24th day of Sept. 1898 signed the foregoing instrument and published and declared the same as and for his last will. And we at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses. A.A. Ray Sam Farnham Jr. W.S. Castleman I P.C. Steele County court clerk of Bedford County State of Tennessee hereby certify that the foregoing is a true full and perfect copy of the last will and testament of Wynn Bearden as proven and admitted to probate at April term, April 7, 1903 as shown by the minutes of said date and by the original will now on file in this office.
