Thomas J. and Bettie Adcock 

   Thomas Jefferson Adcock, b. March 16, 1860 in Bedford County, was the youngest of twelve children born to America and Martha Ann Turner Adcock. Lucy Elizabeth (Bettie) Thomas was born January 23, 1859 in Bedford County, to Eldridge and Elizabeth J. Barrett Thomas. Thomas Jefferson Adcock and Bettie Thomas both grew up in Bedford County. They married July 18, 1882.

   Except for a few years in Marshall County, they lived most of their lives in Bedford County in the Longview Community. They lived in two different houses on Longview Road and attended North Fork Baptist Church. In their later lives, they left Longview and moved to the Hickory Hill-Fall Creek Community. Lucy Elizabeth Thomas Adcock died January 11, 1939 and Thomas Jefferson Adcock died January 27, 1941. They had four children:  Lela Myrtle Adcock (see Jacobs), Archie Clarence Adcock, Walter Elbert Adcock, and Robert Thomas Adcock.  Many of their descendants lived in Longview at some time during their life.
