Mrs. Eva Smith, Dutch Valley, dies Sunday<\/strong>.\u00a0 The mother of several Clinton residents, Mrs. Eva Smith, 84, died Sunday night at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Lucy McMahan, at Clinton Rt. 3.<\/p>\n Mrs. Smith, wife of the late James Smith, was a member of the First Dutch Valley Baptist Church.<\/p>\n Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Poplar Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Nolan and the Rev. Dewey Bonner officiating.\u00a0 Burial was in the church cemetery.<\/p>\n She leaves three daughters, Mrs. Lucy McMahan, Mrs. Lillie Griggs and Mrs. Louise Chambers, all of Clinton; four sons, Charlie, Robert, Elmer and Odis, all of Clinton; a sister, Mrs. Lucy Hamblen\u00a0of California; a brother, Charlie Stittums of LaFollette; 33 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n Clinton Courier News<\/em>, March 26, 1970, Section 1, page 6.<\/p>\n [Transcribed by Stephanie A.
