Jeannette Adkins, age 70, of Clinton, formerly of Lake City, passed away Thursday, Aug 15, 2002, at her residence.<\/p>\n
She was born March 15, 1932, in Anderson County to the late John and Ida Poore Robbins.<\/p>\n
Jeannette was a member of the Covenant Life Worship Center in Lake City. She was a loving mother, sister and aunt, and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.<\/p>\n
She was preceded in death by: parents; husband, Luke Adkins; brothers, J.P. Oscar, Lawrence, Otto, Everette and Claude Robbins; sisters, Eula Hawkins, Mae Ray and Anna Ruth Cox; nephew, John L. Ray.<\/p>\n
Survivors: son, Carl Wayne Adkins of Lake City; sisters, Maggie Foust\u00a0of Clinton, Cora Cox of Lake City; special niece, Namonie\u00a0Boley of Clinton; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.<\/p>\n
Visitation was 6-9 pm Saturday, Aug. 17, 2002, at the Cox-Martin Funeral Home. The funeral service is at 2 pm Sunday, Aug. 18, 2002, at the Cox-Martin Chapel with Rev. Chris Jobe officiating.<\/p>\n
Interment will follow the funeral service Monday, Aug. 19, 2002, at the Morgan & Adkins Cemetery in Norris.<\/p>\n
