Henry Leon Waters, 68, of Clinton died Sunday in Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.<\/p>\n
He was born June 23, 1925 in Star City, AR, to Henry H. and Alta White Waters. A carpenter by trade, he became a building contractor and later state building inspector. From 1981 to 1992, he was the Anderson County Zoning officer.<\/p>\n
Mr. Waters was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church, where he served on the administrative board as well as Sunday school superintendent for 10 years. He was a member of the Clinton Alpha Lodge 376 F&AM. He enjoyed golf and baseball.<\/p>\n
Survivors include his wife, Sara Daniel Waters; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Bryan Warden of Tazewell, VA; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Suzanne Waters and Mitchell and Pamela Waters, all of Clinton; grandson, Christopher Waters; mother, Alta Waters of Star City; sisters, Betty Kellum of Monticello, AR, and Kathleen Watson of Albuquerque, NM; and several nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n
Funeral service was Wednesday in Holley-Gamble Chapel with Rev. Ed Nelson, Rev. Lee Cate and Rev. Glenn Patterson officiating. Burial will be in Tennessee Valley Memory Gardens.<\/p>\n
Masonic service was conducted Tuesday by the Clinton Alpha Lodge 376 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home, Clinton.<\/p>\n
