Mr. Walker had lived in Anderson County for 43 years.<\/p>\n<p>A member of Clear Branch Baptist Church, he was graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1955 where he earned a master\u2019s degree in education.<\/p>\n<p>A retired school teacher, Mr. Walker taught at Briceville, Riverview, Medford and Clinton schools. He also served as principal at Briceville for four years.<\/p>\n<p>His parents were the late Elmer and Mae Johnson Walker.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include his wife, Alza Peavley Walker of Lake City; a brother, Earl Walker of Clinton; two nephews, John Walker of Claxton and Dr. Michael Walker of Florida and other relatives.<\/p>\n<p>Services were held Sunday at Clear Branch Church with the Rev. Floyd Powell officiating. Burial was in Leach Cemetery.
