Douglas Buck Austin, 72, of Lake City Medford community died Saturday, Oct. 6 at his home.<\/p>\n

Austin was a retired coal miner and a member of Laurel Grove Baptist Church.<\/p>\n

He was preceded in death by parents, Bill an Myrtle Emery Austin.<\/p>\n

Survivors include wife, Etta Austin of Medford; four sons, David Austin and Eddie Austin, both of Hammond, IN, Glenn Austin of Grafton, OH and Jimmy Austin of Lake City; four daughters, Jackie Sue Weaver of Hammond, IN, Pat Mayfield of Grafton, OH, Brenda Johnson of Lake City and Kathy Hatmaker of Briceville.<\/p>\n

He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n

Services were held Monday, Oct. 8 in the chapel of Martin Funeral Home in Lake City. The Rev. Larry Watts officiated. Burial was Tuesday, Oct. 9 at the Clinch River Baptist Church Cemetery.<\/p>\n
