J. B. Aslinger, 50, of Pine Circle, Clinton Rt. 5, Marlow community, died early Sunday morning at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.<\/p>\n

He was born in Anderson County to the late Doc Gordon and Flora Aslinger.<\/p>\n

Mr. Aslinger was a former coal miner. He enjoyed gardening and music as pastimes.<\/p>\n

Survivors include a sister, Lorene Aslinger of Oliver Springs; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Hope Aslinger of Batley community, Estell and Catherine Aslinger of Oliver Springs, Robert and Thelma Aslinger and James (Edward) and Ruby Aslinger, both of Windrock; and several nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n

Services were Tuesday in the chapel of Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs with the Rev. Hoye Bunch officiating. Burial was at Butler Cemetery.<\/p>\n
