Bailey gave a recital in elecution [elocution] at Powell Saturday night.<\/p>\n<p>Senator Worley has introduced a bill in the senate to abolish the criminal and law court of Anderson, Campbell, Morgan, Scott, Claiborne and Hancock counties, of which Judge Xen Hicks of Clinton presides.\u00a0 Also to abolish office of Assistant Attorney General held by J. B. Holloway of Morristown.\u00a0 Gen. W. H. Buttram is in Nashville fighting passage of such a measure.<\/p>\n<p>Work on the Odd Fellow\u2019s building and opera house has been resumed at Coal Creek.\u00a0 It will cost about $7,000 on completion.<\/p>\n<p>F. L. Turnbill and son of near Robertsville were here Wednesday.\u00a0 Mr. Turnbill has purchased Eagle Boy from Jno. B. Ross and has taken the horse to his farm.<\/p>\n<p>S. P. Fowler conducted the sale of Minnie Seivers property at Medford Tuesday.\u00a0 On Saturday morning, March 20, S. B. McKamey will conduct the sale of Joe B. Cross personal property at Dossett.<\/p>\n<p>Prof. R. A. Moser, agent for the Ford car, has placed a number of new machines lately.<\/p>\n<p>Clinton High School has entered on its final term.\u00a0 The graduating exercises will be held May 16 to 21.\u00a0 Sunday the 16<sup>th<\/sup> the baccalaureate sermon will be delivered at the auditorium and the final entertainments given Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights.\u00a0 There are eleven graduates this year, five boys and six girls.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Base Ball Club Organized<\/strong>.\u00a0 The boys of Clinton High School have organized a baseball team and are doing some spring practice.\u00a0 The boys hope to have a number of games with neighbor school teams.\u00a0 Following is the line-up:\u00a0 Lon Butcher, catcher; Clyde Keister, pitcher; K.
