A former Norris resident, David Earl Archer, 48, of Deerfield Beach, FL, died Tuesday at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville.<\/p>\n
Mr. Archer was a tailor for Burdine\u2019s Department Store in Florida.<\/p>\n
He attended Tennessee Wesleyan College in Athens and was a member of the Norris First Baptist Church.<\/p>\n
His father, Robert S. Archer, preceded him in death. His mother and stepfather are Margaret and Herbert Sutton of Norris.<\/p>\n
Survivors include brothers, Bob Archer of Norris, Jim Archer of Jackson, MS, and Bill Archer of Norris; nephews Robert, Scott and Doug Archer; and a niece, Margaret Fox.<\/p>\n
Graveside services were held Friday at Norris Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Wayne Province officiating.<\/p>\n
Holley-Gamble Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.<\/p>\n
