Rayson B. \u201cTex\u201d Sawyer, 91, of Clinton died Wednesday in Vencor Hospital, Chattanooga.<\/p>\n
He was born May 17, 1903 in Texarkana, AR, the son of Rayson and Leslie Avery Sawyer. Mr. Sawyer retired as a steamfitter from Knoxville Local 102.<\/p>\n
Survivors include a granddaughter, Donna Dew of Clinton; great-grandchildren, Dawn Coward, Charlie Dew and Gary Coward Jr., all of Clinton; great-great-granddaughter, Nikki Coward of Clinton; special friend, Ada Ramsey of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n
Funeral service was Friday in Holley Gamble Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Sunset Cemetery.<\/p>\n
