Ruth Leora Sharp, age 78, of Clinton, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2002 at Methodist Medical Center.<\/p>\n
She was born Sept 7, 1923 in Harland, KY.<\/p>\n
She was a member of North Clinton Baptist Church.<\/p>\n
Preceded in death by: parents, Lawrence and Emma Burton; sisters, Colleen Burton, Opal Blevins and Blanche Johnson; brother, Gene Burton.<\/p>\n
Survivors: husband of 57 years, F. A. Sharp of Clinton; sons, Dr. Jim Sharp and wife Janet of Louisville, KY, Lloyd Sharp of Claxton, Bill Sharp and wife Jeanne of Norris; daughter, Donna Aiken and husband Rick of Snellville, GA; grandchildren, Melissa Sharp, Marianne Sharp, Meghan Sharp, Dennis Sharp, David Sharp, Danny Sharp and Scott Sharp; sisters, Reba Osborne and husband Chet of Ohio, Jo Burkhart and husband Shorty\u00a0of Ohio, Wilma Partin of Ohio; brothers, Doug Burton of Richmond, KY and J.D. Burton of Cincinnati, OH; several nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n
The family will receive friends from noon until 2 pm Thursday, March 14, 2002 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with funeral services following at 2 pm in the chapel with the Rev. Ronald Guthrie officiating. Interment will follow at Woodhaven Memorial Garden.<\/p>\n
