{"id":2549,"date":"2011-09-22T08:33:21","date_gmt":"2011-09-22T03:33:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tngenweb.org\/anderson\/?p=2549"},"modified":"2017-06-09T16:30:54","modified_gmt":"2017-06-09T21:30:54","slug":"obituary-sams-joe-mac-1993","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/andersoncounty\/2011\/09\/obituary-sams-joe-mac-1993\/","title":{"rendered":"Obituary &#8211; Sams, Joe Mac, 1993"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Obituary of Joe Mac Sams, 1993:<\/h2>\n<p>Joe Mac Sams, 50, of Hillvale Road, Andersonville, died Nov. 27 at St. Mary\u2019s Medical Center in Knoxville of cancer.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Sams was born April 27, 1943, in the Beech Grove community near Lake City.<\/p>\n<p>He was of the Baptist faith and was a retired construction worker.<\/p>\n<p>His father, Dan Boone Sams, died in 1980 and his mother, Della Strong Sams, died in 1986.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include his wife, Mary Young Sams; daughter, Lisa Sams; son, Danny Joe Sams; and a granddaughter, Amber Nicole Sams, all of Andersonville; sister and brother-in-law, Sammie Ruth and Harvey McCoy of Lake City and three nieces and two aunts.<\/p>\n<p>Services were held Monday at Cox Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Seeber officiating.
