Kyle Elbert Amerine, 68 of Clinton, died Tuesday in Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.<\/p>\n
Mr. Amerine\u00a0was owner\/operator of Amerine Exxon in Clinton for 17 years. For the past 10 years, he worked in the parts department of Fox Oldsmobile, Oak Ridge. He was a member of Clinton Second Baptist Church and a World War II Navy veteran.<\/p>\n
He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer G. and Lela Stokes Amerine; son, Kyle Amerine\u00a0Jr., and brothers, Lonas\u00a0S. and Rowan L. Amerine.<\/p>\n
Survivors include his wife, Marie Foust\u00a0Amerine\u00a0of Clinton; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Raymond Jones of Claxton; grandchildren, Michael R. Jones of Clinton and Lisa R. Meade of Knoxville; step granddaughter, Amber Stocks of Clinton; sisters, Verona Ellis of Lakeland, FL, Mildred Harris of Alachua, FL, and Lela Tinney\u00a0of Chattanooga; and a brother, H.G. Amerine of Clinton.<\/p>\n
Funeral service will be 8:30 pm Wednesday in Holley-Gamble Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Gary Swaggerty and the Rev. George Williams officiating.<\/p>\n
Graveside service will be 11 am Thursday in Pleasant View Cemetery with full military honors conducted by Volunteer State Honor Guard.<\/p>\n
Family will receive friends 7-8:30 pm Wednesday.<\/p>\n
