Mother of nine dies Saturday<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0 Mrs. Adah Daugherty Patterson, 85, longtime Lake City area resident and wife of the late Guy Patterson, died Saturday in Park West Hospital in Knoxville.<\/p>\n Mrs. Patterson had most recently lived with her daughter, Mrs. Oma\u00a0Goad in Briceville.\u00a0 She had been in ill health for some time and had lost sight in both eyes.<\/p>\n Her husband, a disabled coal miner, died four years ago.\u00a0 Mrs. Patterson was a member of Lake City Church of God.\u00a0 In her younger years, she enjoyed piecing quilts.\u00a0 She was a native of Kentucky.<\/p>\n Besides her Briceville\u00a0daughter, she leaves five other daughters, Mrs. Mazzie\u00a0Seiber\u00a0of Oliver Springs, Mrs. Laura Powers of Lake City and Mrs. Cora Bunch of LaFollette, Mrs. Italy Gibson of Cincinnati, Mrs. Catherine Jacks of South Clinton; three sons, Ramsey, Homer and Willard Daugherty, all of Westland, Mich.; 48 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Benton Daugherty of LaFollette and Sheridon Daugherty of Petros.<\/p>\n Services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Lake City Church of God.\u00a0 The Rev.
