She was living at the home of her daughter, Ann Melton of Clinton.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Queener had been employed for many years as a salesclerk at Lewallen-Miller and Bernard&#8217;s Department Stores in Clinton. She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Clinton.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Queener enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting and knitting. She was a member of the Hillvale Home Demonstration Club. She also enjoyed working with the public and growing flowers, as well as spending time with her grandchildren as they were growing up.<\/p>\n<p>Born Jan. 2, 1913, she was the daughter of the late J.W. and Laura Lockett Braden. Her stepmother was the late Nannie Braden. Mrs. Queener&#8217;s husband, Robert Earl (Peeley) Queener, died in November of 1986.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to her daughter and son-in-law, David Melton, Mrs. Queener is survived by three sons, Eddy, Jimmy and David Queener, all of Clinton; eight grandchildren; a brother, Earl Braden of Clinton; step-brother, Glen May of Oliver Springs; daughters-in-law, Lynell, Glenda and Freddy Queener, all of Clinton; two sisters-in-law, Johnnie Albright and Esta Queener of Lake City and several nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral services were held Friday night at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Byrge and the Rev. Jim McPherson officiating. Graveside services were held Saturday morning at Norris Memorial Gardens with the Rev.
