Lottie Lorene Parson, 78, of Oliver Springs died Sunday, May 12, 1996 in Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.<\/p>\n
Mrs. Parson was a native of Alabama, having lived in Anderson County since 1954.<\/p>\n
She was a member of Coopers, AL, First Baptist Church. She worked in West-Mal Nursing Home until its closing and retired from Robertsville Junior High School in 1983.<\/p>\n
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Thorton\u00a0and Agnes Thorton; two sisters, Lois Hewitt and Barbara Tatum; and by her husband, Alvie E. Parson.<\/p>\n
Survivors are sons and daughters-in-law, Boyd F. and Betty Parson of Dale City, VA; Paul W. and Brenda Parson of Oliver Springs; brother, Winston Thorton\u00a0of Clanton, AL; sisters, Wilma Logan of Plant City, FL; Pat Roussell of Great Falls, MT; Marie Johnson of Newman, GA; Beatrice Cagle and Ruby Bates, both of Coopers, AL; grandsons, Paul Parson II of Oliver Springs, Adam Parson of Oliver Springs and John D. Parson of Dale City, VA; granddaughters, Debra Clark, Angela Parson and Teresa Harvey, all of Dale City, VA.<\/p>\n
Family received friends 6-8:30 pm Tuesday, May 12, in Sharp Funeral Home, Oliver Springs.<\/p>\n
Funeral service were 8:30 pm Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Steve McDonald officiating.<\/p>\n
Graveside services and burial was held noon Wednesday, May 15, in Oak Ridge Memorial Park. Sharp Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.<\/p>\n
