Susie York Patterson, 88 of Clinton died Saturday in Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.<\/p>\n
The daughter of Lacey and Sarah Daugherty York, she was born April 1, 1907 in Anderson County. A former Devonia resident, she was a homemaker and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.<\/p>\n
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dorsey Patterson; sons, James Ray Patterson, Otis Patterson and Zenith Patterson; daughter, Allie Patterson; and parents.<\/p>\n
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Cleo and Marvin Adkins of Cleveland, OH; Clorene Daugherty of Clinton; Charlene Adkins of Dunkirk, IN; and Bobbie Jean and Bill Gibbs of Jacksonville, AR; son, Leland \u201cLee\u201d and Deanna Patterson of Brooklyn, OH; grandchildren, Terry Daugherty, Cathy Daugherty, Billy Adkins, Keith Adkins, Teresa Yardley, Scott Patterson, Stacey Patterson and Danny Cox; and 12 great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n
Funeral service was Tuesday in Shiloh Baptist Church, Devonia, with the Rev. Edwin Phillips and the Rev. Richard Phillips officiating. Burial followed in Anderson Memorial Gardens.<\/p>\n
Cox Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.<\/p>\n
