Obituary of Henry Lowe, 1971:
Henry Lowe, retired cattle dealer, dies. Henry C. Lowe, 90, a retired Clinton cattle dealer, died at 4 p.m. Friday at Lake City Convalescent and Nursing Home. Lowe had been in declining health after suffering a broken hip a few months ago.
He had lived in East Tennessee most of his life and was a resident of Cherokee Ave. in South Clinton.
His wife, Rose, died in 1962 and his only son, Harvey Lowe, died last year.
Lowe was a member of South Clinton Baptist Church.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Martin Funeral Home chapel in Clinton. The Rev. Richmond D. Kennedy of Caryville officiated. Burial was in Tennessee Valley Memory Gardens.
He leaves one daughter, Mrs. Ora Burress of 130 Cherokee Ave., South Clinton; two brothers, Ova Lowe of Norma and Hollis Lowe of Akron, O.; three sisters, Mrs. Tishie Tagler of Norma; Mrs. Melissa McGhee of Knoxville and Mrs. R. D. (Lana) Kennedy of Caryville; 10 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
