Glandon, James Carter, age 83, died at his home Clinton Rt. 4, after a long illness. Member of the Baptist Church for 50 years, Masonic Lodge No. 376 Clinton; employee of railroad for 38 years; retired in 1947. Survivors, wife, Mrs. Mary Emily Glandon; 7 sons, Charlie, Elmer, J. H., Raymond, all of Clinton; Kelley, Jefferson City; Donald, Powell; Estell, U. S. Army, Germany; 5 daughters, Mrs. Clarence Lindsay, Lake City; Mrs. R. W. Clotfelter, Knoxville; Mrs. Jack Paul, Mountain Home, Arkansas; Mrs. Basil Lane, Denver, Colorado; Mrs. James Huddleston, LaFollette; sister, Miss Bessie Glandon, Knoxville. 27 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services, 2:30 p.m. Wednesday Zion Baptist Church, Rev. H. L. Hutchins officiating. Burial Tennessee Memorial Gardens, Edgemoor Rd. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Masons will have charge of services at the grave. Body will be returned to the home, Tuesday evening. Holley’s Clinton in charge.
