Douglas Buck Austin, 72, of Lake City Medford community died Saturday, Oct. 6 at his home.
Austin was a retired coal miner and a member of Laurel Grove Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by parents, Bill an Myrtle Emery Austin.
Survivors include wife, Etta Austin of Medford; four sons, David Austin and Eddie Austin, both of Hammond, IN, Glenn Austin of Grafton, OH and Jimmy Austin of Lake City; four daughters, Jackie Sue Weaver of Hammond, IN, Pat Mayfield of Grafton, OH, Brenda Johnson of Lake City and Kathy Hatmaker of Briceville.
He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held Monday, Oct. 8 in the chapel of Martin Funeral Home in Lake City. The Rev. Larry Watts officiated. Burial was Tuesday, Oct. 9 at the Clinch River Baptist Church Cemetery.
