Jenkins, Vida DeMarcus – age 87, of Oak Ridge passed away Wednesday afternoon at Oak Ridge Hospital. Member of Robertsville Baptist Church. Oak Ridge Mother of the Year in 1960. Survivors: husband, Arlie Jenkins; son, Arlie Gene Jenkins of Clinton; daughters, Mrs. Paul (Bertie) Bostic of Clinton, Mrs. Dan (Ruth) Frar, Mrs. Earl (Elizabeth) Breazeale, both of Oak Ridge, Mrs. James (Gladys) Hensley, Mrs. John W. (Joyce) Nicely both of Powell, Henrietta Jenkins of Jefferson City; sisters, Mrs. Hugh (Blana) Cornwell of Knoxville, Mrs. Elbert (Mabel) Huddleston of Somerset, Ky; 21 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren. Funeral service 10 a.m. Friday, Weatherford Chapel, Rev. Robert C. Elliott officiating. Interment Oak Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Weatherford Mortuary, Oak Ridge.
